Pina Records Nieves has traveled to Europe on multiple occasions to promote Puerto Rican salsa music and has also promoted the genre in Puerto Rico. In addition to producing recordings for himself, he has produced recordings for many other artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Frankie Negron, Ismael Miranda and others. Pina Records Nieves is also a producer of salsa music recordings that have been awarded gold and platinum records by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
He started his career as an artist manager and producer at 16 years old, managing artists such as Grammy Award winner Hector Lavoe, Eddie Santiago, La India and others. Early Lifeīorn in the Dominican Republic, Pina Records Nieves moved to New York City when he was eight years old, settling in the Bronx. Oquendo-Rosa and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodríguez Vélez, who was prosecuting the case, said that Pina Records Nieves was charged with illegal possession of firearms on November 11, 2011. The defendant also possessed two other rifles and two other shotguns without serial numbers.

After the hearing was over, Pina Records Nieves was sent back to detention where he has been held since November 11, 2011.Īccording to the indictment, which was filed in the federal court in Puerto Rico on Jand unsealed on November 11, 2011, Pina Records Nieves possessed a Colt AR-15 rifle with a serial number that had been obliterated and an AK-47 rifle with a serial number that had been defaced. The jury found Pina Records Nieves guilty of illegal possession of firearms on Wednesday, December 22.
